Russia’s Lukoil grow by 3% on rise of weight in MSCI
MOSCOW, Jan 31 (PRIME) -- The shares of Russian oil producer Lukoil grew 2.9% to 6,632 rubles as of 10:35 a.m., Moscow time on Friday, after the MSCI said that it would raise the weight of Lukoil in the indices, according to the Moscow Exchange.
On Thursday, MSCI said that it kept the foreign inclusion factor (FIF), the free-float assessment of companies, or the possibility for foreign investors to buy shares, for Lukoil at 0.55 meaning that its weight in the index would fall by 3% due to the cancellation of shares.
This news triggered an about 3% fall of the Lukoil price.
